Engagement activity

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has strong relationships with Perth metropolitan teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities.

International clinical placements take place each year with a group of nursing and midwifery students in Cambodia, India, Nepal, Laos, Philippines, Tanzania and Thailand.

We are committed to engaging with the community by providing sponsorship support for key industry partners and events.

Mothers Adopting Midwifery Students (MAMS)

The MAMS program offers the support of one specially allocated midwifery student, under the supervision of your trained maternity care health provider, who will support you and your partner in your personal journey from pregnancy to after the birth of your baby.

International Clinical Placements

Our Nursing program offers students the opportunity to undertake a community placement overseas, where they are able to work in a different healthcare system and experience health from a diverse cultural background.

Sponsorships

Sponsorship of significant events and conferences is a key element in the School's community engagement strategy.

Hands on Training (HOT) Program

The HOT program is designed to facilitate an on-campus experience for Year 10 secondary school students with the aim of immersing students in teaching and learning environments used in our Bachelor of Science (Nursing).
