Christine a lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery and is the Course Coordinator for the Master of Clinical Nursing (I52).

Background

Nursing. Christine has a wealth of experience in both clinical nursing and postgraduate nurse education.

Clinical: Over 30 years of experience in cancer nursing with a passion for haematology and immunology. Worked as the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Coordinator at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London for over 10 years and moved to Australia, where she worked as a clinical trials coordinator in St.Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. She has continued this passion in her teaching and research areas.

Education: Christine has extensive skills in all areas of education including; curriculum development, accreditation submissions, education design, assessment and evaluation, course coordination, writing and developing content for on campus and online delivery. Lecturer in cancer and palliative care at the University of Surrey in the UK prior to moving to Australia. From 2001 to 2014 worked at the Australian College of Nursing, key roles included Course and Subject Coordinator for various subjects, Project Coordinator for development of educational projects and new subjects and Postgraduate Program Coordinator, with responsibility for course accreditation and quality of education programs. In 2014, Christine moved to WA and worked as a Senior Project Officer developing online learning courses for both ECU and WACHS before commencing her academic role with ECU in 2017. She is currently undertaking a PhD at ECU.
