Biobanking: Developing the process of consent for research purposes
The aim of this project is to develop the process of consent to donate tissue for research purposes. This project will qualitatively explore the psychological impact of consent processes used for donating tissue for research purposes of people who have undergone surgery for their cancer and identify the key elements that are valued and not valued in consent processes for tissue donation. Consideration of the psychological status of patients is an important component of healthcare. This work will contribute to the development and evaluation of best practice processes for seeking consent to donate tissue for research purposes.
