Projects
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has more than a decade long history of innovative research, with the Western Australian Centre for Cancer and Palliative Care (WACCPC) being at the forefront of advancing the health profession’s empirical knowledge of complex sociological, psychological and clinical aspects of advanced illness, end of life and palliative care issues. In 2010 the Clinical Nursing and Midwifery Research Centre was established specialising in clinically-driven nursing and midwifery research that is relevant and meaningful to practising nurses and midwives. Research in the school was recognised in the 2010 Excellence for Research in Australia report which assessed our nursing research to be characterised by evidence of performance above world standard.
