Benchmark the work-readiness of our final semester Bachelor of Science (Nursing) students compared with other universities in Australia

As a university, we believe that our graduates are well prepared. However there is no evidence linking the University’s graduate attributes which empirically demonstrates the work-readiness of our students.

The aim of this study is to gain an understanding of how industry views the work readiness of our students against that of other universities using the graduate attributes as a measure.

Benchmarking by the staff who precept our students in the health facilities will allow the ECU School of Nursing to identify any perceived gaps in the students preparation.

We feel that this is an opportunity for industry partners to have input into the preparation of our students as beginning nursing practitioners.
