Visiting Scholar - Professor Susan Lea, Plymouth University

Professor Susan Lea from Plymouth University, Director for the Centre of Excellence in Professional Placement Learning, was an invited Visiting Scholar to the Social Justice Research Centre for 6 weeks. During her visit Professor Lea conducted a series of master classes for postgraduate students on topics ranging from professional practice preparation for students working in the health and welfare sector to her collaborative work with UK police around domestic violence and sexual violence. By invitation Professor Lea presented professional seminars to WA Police; travelled to Hobart to present a key seminar to police and academics at the Tasmanian Institute of Law Enforcement Studies as well as site visits to members of Victoria Police and meetings with staff connected with the Policing Just Outcomes Project in collaboration with Victorian Police.

Professor Lea also visited Bunbury in WA and was kindly hosted by staff from the Department of Education Western Region.
