Developing a specialised measure of resilience

Members of the Lifespan Resilience Research Group are working with members of secau to develop knowledge and understanding of resilience in people who work in a variety of positions that require security clearance. Several conference presentations have indicated that this industry has a strong desire to ensure the psychological safety of its workers and that there is a need for a strength-based approach to recruitment and performance management. There are plans to develop a resilience measure for specific use in this area. This is expected to be a long term project which will involve a range of government and non-government organisations who require their staff to have security clearances.
