The experiences, for some, of those who identify as non-heterosexual can be marked with tremendous stress and negativity. For example, sexually diverse individuals are often subjected to harassment, victimisation, violence and discrimination solely based upon their sexual orientation. This stress and negativity, which stems from attitudes and behaviours of the general public, creates an adverse environment for gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals. Further to this, the adversity faced by these individuals has been closely linked with higher rates of mental and behavioural problems compared to heterosexuals. Given this, it is important to investigate what factors contribute to the ability of gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals to navigate their way to resources that ensure a healthy psychological well-being.
For those who identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual, are 16 years or older and are interested in contributing their time to this survey; please visit the survey website below and enter the password into the designated area.
