Point Fraser is the name given to the redevelopment of a degraded area along the Swan River foreshore near the causeway. As part of the redevelopment, a constructed wetland was built to control nutrients from storm water drainage entering the Swan River. This project seeks to determine how effective the constructed wetland is at reducing nutrients but also to look more broadly at the social and biodiversity aspects of the redevelopment. This is a five year project which commenced in 2010.
