Dr Kathryn McMahon, Deputy Director of the Centre for Marine Ecosystem Research (CMER) has been leading the “Keep Watch” seagrass monitoring program undertaken annually since 2012. The monitoring, funded by GeoCatch and Water Corporation  is assessing the health of these vital ecosystems, in the rapidly developing coastal area around Dunsborough and Busselton. Results from the first five years of the program are promising, showing the Bay’s seagrass meadows to be in overall good condition.
