Developing exergames

Exergames combine entertainment in the form of a video game with exercise, to achieve health and fitness benefits, especially for children. This project examines how best to manage the balance between keeping the player interested and engaged, and ensuring that the exercise is effective in providing a suitable workout.

In summary, the project involves:

  • effectiveness of exergames;
  • flow in exergames; and
  • modelling physiological response to exercise.
