NEW FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND ARTS AND SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY TO FACULTY OF COMPUTING, HEALTH AND SCIENCE FROM 1ST JULY 2006
The decision by the University Council earlier this year to establish the new Faculty of Education and Arts came into effect on 1 July 2006. At that time, the existing faculties of Community Services, Education and Social Sciences, and Communications and Creative Industries ceased to exist. Those two faculties were combined into the new larger faculty with the exception of the School of Psychology which was transferred organisationally to the Faculty of Computing, Health and Science on 1 July 2006.
