APPEAL GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS
ECU provides three avenues of appeal for any student who is dissatisfied with the assessment of their academic work or progress.
- Result Appeal to be used for appeal against an individual item of assessment or final unit result
- Academic Progression Status Reviewto be used when appealing an overall progression status
- Appeal to the Student Appeals Committeeto be used if there are grounds for a review of the decisions made in 1 and/or 2
- External Appeal Under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act (2000), international students have the right to an external appeal. The agency responsible for this is the Western Australian Ombudsman.
