God on the Web

This supply of Links is deliberately disorganised to avoid giving the impression that seeking faith and meaning in the contemporary world is easy.  Perhaps you are one of those people who claim to be spiritual without being religious?  Perhaps you are sceptical about organised religion of any kind?  We want to make it clear that this page is designed for you as much as it is offered to Jews or Christians or Muslims or Buddhists seeking to explore their faith more deeply.  Indeed, in a world of many creeds and credulities we are all called to be better informed about the beliefs of our neighbours.  Religion is powerful – it can be peace-maker or peace-breaker, and we see this inspiring and frightening truth every day written in one another’s faces.  Searching for faith is fun, a real adventure in hope and love, but it also demands that we act responsibly, walking carefully lest we trample on one another’s dreams.

Finding God on the internet takes us to the big surf!  The Spirit is the wild card, and we cannot know in advance where we will be led.  What follows is simply a selection of sites we have found stimulating and challenging.  We do not endorse all you will find here, but we do encourage free-ranging and fearless exploration.  If you would like to draw our attention to sites we have omitted, please contact one of the chaplains.
