SIMO
SIMO access problems
- Have you forgotten your ADS username or password? Contact Student Central or the IT Service Desk to obtain your user ID.
- Do you have an encumbrance or admin block? IIf SIMO prevents you from re-enrolling because you have an academic or administrative encumbrance it may be due to unpaid fees or a library fine. Contact Student Central for help.
- Are self enrolment services available for your course? Check your opening date on the Faculty Schedule or please contact Student Central for help.
SELECTING UNITS
What units do I select?
- Refer to the Handbook for course structure information, or
- Contact your Faculty Course Coordinator or School Student Support Officer for further assistance.
IMPORTANT: Please print out and check your semester timetable after finishing your enrolment to confirm that you are correctly enrolled.
Why does Invalid show when I enrol into the unit?
To check the reason for the invalid status, click on the Rules Failed button next to the invalid unit. If you believe you have passed the rule, please contact Student Central.
If you have not satisfied the pre or co-requisites for a unit you will be unable to enrol in these units on SIMO. You will need to get Faculty authorisation and complete the "Request to Study Units Without Satisfying Prerequisites" form. Click here for your School Student Support Officer contact details.
Once you have re-enrolled you may continue to change your unit selection online as follows:
You can withdraw enrolled units on SIMO at anytime up until the census date of each semester:

You can only add units on SIMO at anytime up until 5.00pm on the Friday of the second week of semester:

From the third week of each semester the online system closes and a manual Enrolment Variation form must be completed and lecturer's signature obtained for added units. A manual processing fee of $10.00 per form applies. Forms are available online for you to print or from any Student Central office.
Notifying Centrelink of changes to your enrolment:
You must inform Centrelink within 14 days of any changes to your study load or change of course.
OFF CAMPUS UNITS
Education and Nursing students should contact their School Student Support Officer before enrolling in any Off-campus units.
International students: Due to changes in federal legislation there are new enrolment requirements for international students studying on Student Visas. For more information, please go to the International Students web page.
To select off-campus units on SIMO, select the drop down campus field and select ES (Off).
