Summer Session - 2009/10

ECU's summer session runs from Tuesday 1 December to end of January 2010. Unit start dates may vary during this period, please check SIMO.

EXCLUDED STATUS
Students who have been excluded or suspended by the Board of Examiners at the end of Semester 2, 2009, are not eligible to enrol in Summer Session units.

Enrolments OPEN on SIMO as follows:

1. Three week block: Monday 19 October to Sunday 8 November, then
2. Faculty staggered opening schedule applies in conjunction with Re-enrolments 2010

ENROLMENTS CLOSE
For units commencing in December the cut off date is Friday 27 November, 2009. For those units commencing in January 2010, the cut off date is Monday 21 December, 2009.

MODIFYING UNITS
Students wishing to modify after Monday December 21, 2009 must see their relevant Summer Session Coordinator for approval.

Fees and Payment

PAYMENT

You will be able to view your Statement of Account online through SIMO. Summer Session fees must be paid by Friday 15 January, 2010. Partial payments are not offered for the Summer Session. If you are currently on a deferred payment option (ie: HECS-HELP / FEE-HELP) your Summer School Fees will automatically be processed as a HELP loan).

Payments can be made via B-Pay or at any Australia Post Office or Agency, using Australia Post Billpay or at an ECU Cashier.

Withdrawal

Withdrawal Without Financial Penalty
You must withdraw by Friday 15 January, 2010 to avoid incurring financial liability for your tuition fee.

Withdrawal Without Academic Penalty
You must withdraw by Friday 22 January, 2010 to avoid a Failed mark ("N/0") and incurring financial liability for your tuition fee.

REFUNDS
Refunds will only be considered in extenuating circumstances - please contact the Fees Office.

Graduation

Students who complete their final units in Summer School 2010 will NOT be able to attend the January 2010 Graduation Ceremony. You may attend the September ceremony. For full graduation information, please visit the Graduations website.
