Domestic Qualifications
ECU accepts a number of qualifications for entry to an undergraduate course as long as English competency is met.
University Preparation Course Entry Requirements |

High School |
Students must achieve eight (8) points calculated on their results. TEE/Course of Study subjects are calculated as follows:
Wholly School Assessed subjects are calculated as follows:

| TAFE/RTO (Registered Training Organisation) |
Certificate III (minimum age of 17) or higher. |
| STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test) |
Applicants must achieve a 125 in the Written English component and a score of 125 in the Multiple Choice component. |
Previous University Study |
If an applicant has successfully completed a preparation or foundation course at another university they are eligible for entry to the UPC. |
Undergraduate Entry Requirements |

High School |
Students must achieve a TER which is high enough for entry to their chosen course. This ranges from 55.00 to 85.00 depending on the course. |
TAFE/RTO |
Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma course awards are sufficient for entry to ECU undergraduate course provided they are:

STAT |
Applicants must achieve a 145 in the Written English component and a score of at least 115 in the Multiple Choice component. If the course has a mathematics or science prerequisite a score of 145 in the Multiple Choice component is required. If the course has eligibility score of higher than 55.00 then higher marks in the Multiple Choice component are required. |
Previous University Study |
If an applicant has successfully completed undergraduate units at another university they are eligible for entry to ECU. If they have completed a preparation or foundation course at another university they may be eligible for entry to an undergraduate course at ECU. |
Postgraduate Entry Requirements |

Previous University Study |
Most Postgraduate courses at ECU are available to anyone with an Undergraduate degree. Some courses require specific degrees or specific subjects to have been completed. |
Work Experience |
ECU has a number of Postgraduate courses which are available to applicants who have significant work experience in the area of study. This is assessed on a case by case basis. |
