PIBT to ECU Fast Track
ECU in association with PIBT offers another convenient Alternate Entry pathway to university for those students who might not otherwise meet entry requirements.
PIBT courses are designed to facilitate articulation into ECU Bachelor degree courses by combining English and academic programs with additional study support.
The PIBT Diploma programmes are university level Diplomas that follow the curricula and assessment requirements at ECU, so students are working at the same high standards. Many PIBT lecturers are also university lecturers so they have considerable teaching experience at this level
By successfully completing PIBT Diplomas at either stage 1 (Certificate IV) or stage 2 in the areas of:
- Business
- E -Commerce
- Mass Communications
- Computing & IT
- Science
- Law
students are guaranteed entry into year 1 or year 2 of related ECU Bachelor degrees.

Many PIBT graduates have taken advantage of this pathway and gone on to successfully complete an ECU degree.
Our aim is to make the transition from PIBT to ECU as simple as possible. We invite you to:
- Submit your application direct to the ECU Admissions Office at any time within the last semester of your study so that we can reserve your university place.
- On confirmation of your final results you will be invited to enrol in the next relevant teaching period with no further entry test required.
