ECU Multifaith Chaplaincy

Western Australian Police Service guidelines for the use of the Police Chapel:

  1. The Chapel is to be used for appropriate religious and spiritual purposes. It is not to be used for general meeting purposes.
  2. No foodstuffs or drinks are allowed in the Chapel.
  3. Bookings must be made through the Multifaith Chaplaincy Service to the Police Chaplain, Reverend May and the Police Academy Events Coordinator.
  4. "Police use" will take priority. Certainly if an ECU booking for a special function is made and accepted it will be honoured.
  5. No long term recurring bookings can be made, Police have numerous major events per year and also arising events that must be able to be held in the Chapel.
  6. ECU staff/students using the Chapel must be appropriately attired (minimum smart casual) and behave with decorum on site.
  7. The setting, furniture of the Chapel should not be rearranged. If any alterations are made then the setting must be returned to its original state by departure. Generally the Chapel must be left clean and tidy.
  8. There will be no charge for the use of the Chapel, however ECU would be expected to meet the cost of any damage or undue cleaning required. There is a Chapel Fund used to maintain the Chapel and donations should be made for private uses such as marriages, baptisms.
