Student Associations @ ECU

Student clubs and societies are an important part of student community life. The clubs are sponsored by ECU's Student Guild, Sports and Recreation, Faculties or Centres providing assistance with funding, administrative support or facilities.

ECU Student Guild

The Student Guild is the overarching student body providing support and services for student associations and clubs; as well as social, representative and physical/financial support for the student body at large. It provides support for the other core Student representative bodies (International Students Council & Post Graduates Association) and works to represent students in the University and the wider community. To find out more about the Guild, or how to access the services it provides for ECU Students; check out the Guild Website at www.ecuguild.org.au.

Dead Pilots Society

The D.P.S allows for Aviation students to hold and conduct events of a social nature as part and parcel of their undertakings as University students. The D.P.S also acts as an avenue for all Aviation students to come together to collectively share experiences and insights in the world of flying. However the D.P.S would not just want to remain exclusive to aviation students. The D.P.S in future would like to expand its membership to all students on campus who share a passion for Aviation. The D.P.S will like to gain its establishment and see this society grow and expand in the coming years at ECU.

The Student Party Association (SPA)

SPA is the only party association affiliated with the Guild and aims to enhance student life through the inclusion of events on campus, during uni hours. SPA also holds many pub crawls and parties throughout the year open to students an their friends.

International Student Groups

International student groups are organised and run by students at ECU. Some exist to advocate, and some exist to network and organise events. Our belief in the value and importance these groups have in adding to the overall ECU experience has led to the provision of support for such groups to exist in a safe and secure environment.
