What is ECU Online?
ECU understands that not every student can make it to UniStart II (oncampus IT sessions) which teach new students about the ECU website, student email, online learning and library systems. We also know how important it is to understand how the IT systems work at ECU for your continued success as a student. ECUOnline will take you through all of these important systems and can be completed at home in your own time. ECUOnline - another flexible learning choice at ECU.
How do I use ECU Online?
We provide easy-to-read information on the many services provided online for students by ECU.
ECU Online information and activities
There are two ways to read information and complete activities on ECU Online:
1. Complete all pages and activities by simply using your mouse to point to and left-click on the messages at the bottom of each page. This will allow you to either continue with an activity or go to the next ECU Online page.
OR
2. You can just choose topics that interest you and access them by using the menu links on the left-hand side of the page. When you have finished simply use your mouse to left-click on the ECU Online logo in the top left-hand corner of the web page to return to the main page and select your next ECU Online area.
Using the ECU Online instructions
Step ONE: Read the general information on the ECU Online page that you have chosen.
Step TWO: Left-click on the ‘click here to continue to the activity’ link.
Step THREE: To complete the activities provided in ‘Putting it into action…’ you can either
• Print off the instructions
or
• Move between two screens on your computer if you are a more experienced computer user
New screens that open?
As you work through ECU Online you will be asked to left-click on links to explore other ECU web pages... These pages will open a new screen or ‘window’ but don’t worry - ECU Online is still there! When you have finished exploring the new link, close the window by left-clicking on the "X" in the top right hand corner of the new window. You can then continue the ECU Online activity.
