The Edith Cowan University Student Health Services seeks to assist the university community, students and staff with health care needs. The primary function of the service is to provide psychosocial and physical health support to students so that they may achieve an optimal academic performance in the shortest possible time.

- Flu Vaccination
Influenza is a highly contagious virus that has the potential to disrupt the lives of university students and staff in particular those with pre-existing medical conditions. Vaccination against Influenza is now available in campus medical suites. For further information on the flu vaccine contact the Joondalup or Mt. Lawley campus medical suites.
- Yellow Fever Vaccination
The Director, Diseases Control, Health Department of Western Australia has approved the appointment of the ECU Joondalup campus medical suite as a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.

If you are planning to travel overseas during the holidays, do consider your health and safety in advance and check any vaccinations that may be required or recommended for the country of destination.
The Student Health Service is able to provide you with up to date information regarding vaccinations and has most of the vaccines available on campus for your convenience.
Other information is also available to assist you in staying well during your travels.
- Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
HPV is a common, sexually transmitted virus. Often, HPV infections do not cause any symptoms, however the HPV virus infection has been found to be a precursor for the development of Cervical Cancer in women.
The development of a prophylactic HPV vaccine offers new hope for the primary prevention of cervical cancer.
The Student Health Service is pleased to advise that it has the HPV Vaccine and information available in each ECU campus Medical Suite.
