WebCMS Authoring Outage, 29th September 2010 - Reminder

This is a reminder to all WebCMS Authors and Approvers that this outage is occurring today.

ITSC have requested a small authoring outage of approximately 2 hours on Wednesday 29th to allow for urgent security updates to be applied to the operating systems on the WebCMS Production servers. All authors and approvers should logout of their WebCMS session before 10:25am. Normal access for authoring and approving should resume at 12:30pm.

This outage only affects authoring within the WebCMS, via the back-end interface, and thus has no impact on the presentation of content already published, and the ECU Website as a whole. 

Please ensure that you read the above information carefully. It is a very low impact request, and authoring/editing/approving access will only be interrupted for 2 hours.

Please raise any concerns with the Web Business Manager immediately.
