Corporate web style

Our corporate web style has been developed to ensure the ECU website provides a quality, consistent and appealing platform for promoting our services, our courses and our brand.

All web content delivered by the WebCMS is governed by our Web Content Management Policy. To support the Policy, various guidelines and template styles have been created to assist web content authors in managing their web content.

Corporate Web Style Guide

Our ECU Corporate Web Style Guide provides comprehensive guidelines on developing web pages for the University’s website. The Guide covers in detail design features and layout for all levels of the ECU Website. Page structures and templates are illustrated along with their features, and typography, headings, imagery and audiovisual elements are detailed to ensure we deliver a quality and accessible resource.

Guidelines for images

The Marketing and Communications Services Centre has developed a set of image guidelines that relates to the capture, storage, supply and publishing of still images within ECU for activities outside of those categorised as educational purposes (i.e. informational, promotional or other commercial activities). Further information can be obtained by viewing the Image Guidelines document (ECU Staff Only).

Exemptions

The ECU Web Content Management Policy mandates that all websites at ECU must be maintained by the ECU WebCMS and compliant with the Corporate Web Style. Business owners seeking exemptions to these two requirements must have the exemption approved by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) prior to the website being created. Failure to do so may result in the website being removed from view.

Exemptions requests should be submitted to the ECU Web Business Manager.
