ECU International Hotel and Resort Management graduate

The internship I completed in my final semester has been the perfect stepping stone to advance my career

I chose to study International Hotel and Resort Management at ECU because I had heard of the practical nature of the course. My lecturers were very experienced in the hospitality and tourism industry and provided real life examples and case studies to link theory with current industry practice.

I was lucky enough to take part in the Borneo study tour, and no words can describe how amazing that experience was. In my final semester at ECU, I was able to secure an internship placement. Since graduating, I have been accepted into the graduate program at Accor hotels, where I will be relocating to Broome.

There isn't a single unit I completed at ECU during my undergrad which hasn't been valuable to me in some way throughout my professional career. Environmental Science is an incredibly competitive, but also rewarding career path. So be utterly relentless in the pursuit of real-world experience whilst working on your degree.
