Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable experience for your resumé while also giving back to the community.

It’s an integral part of a well-rounded university experience and something I encourage all ECU students to participate in.

As a student you’re able to share your skills, knowledge and time with those who need it and in turn broaden your own skills.

Some of the many advantages include:

  • meeting new people (networking);
  • demonstrating community engagement (it looks great on your CV);
  • developing new skills (such as leadership and time management); and
  • increasing your employability

That’s why at ECU we provide our students with a range of volunteering opportunities.

So, get ahead of the pack in when it comes to your future career. Check out the volunteering section of our CareerHub webpages and get involved.
