As students return to campus this semester, we also have other students who have transitioned from student to graduate and who are now part of our ECU alumni community.

We welcome you to the fold.

As part of our commitment to ECU students and our alumni we recently launched a career webinar series, Extraordinary Minds in Extraordinary Times, offering unprecedented access to some of Australia’s leading CEO’s and their directors of talent.

Continued from Alumni News...

We have been delighted to host Graham Kerr, South32 CEO and ECU alumnus, and Dr David Singleton, Austal Limited CEO and ECU Honorary Doctorate, and their respective HR leads.

These titans of industry offered powerful insights about the current job market and generously shared their personal challenges and journeys to the top.

It was humbling to hear Graham Kerr talk about his early days as a university graduate and the significance of his ECU degree. To paraphrase Graham, standing out in today’s job market is not just about academic excellence, but also about practical experience and communication skills.

It was wonderful to see the synergies between Graham and David’s journeys to the top of their respective industries and the high value placed on a degree from ECU.

As David reflects though, this is where the hard work starts, and our Alumni Relations team is here to help you on your graduate journey.

We know from a recent student services and facilities survey that our young graduates and alumni are actively seeking networking and career opportunities.

Our alumni team are here to assist you with professional development, mentoring, networking, presentations and webinars from leading industry experts, accredited short courses as well as opportunities to participate in a wide range of social events.

Stay connected, informed and inspired.

Professor Steve Chapman
Vice-Chancellor

Our next Extraordinary Minds focuses on Woodside Energy and two extraordinary leaders, Fiona Hick, Senior Vice President of Operations and Jacky Connolly, Vice President of People and Global Capacity on Thursday 13 August.

This will be followed on Tuesday 25 August by two extraordinary communicators, Adam Marshall, CEO of Marketforce and Dixie Marshall, Executive Producer of Flare. For more details please visit the Alumni website.
