In a year in which we have been required to distance physically; the need to connect emotionally with others has never been more apparent.
In recent weeks, National Stroke Week and R U Ok Day? campaigns have made clear the importance of looking after ourselves, both physically and mentally, as well as reaching out to others and empowering them to have conversations about life problems.
In this Alumni e-news, our ECU alumni candidly share their stories, and offer advice on how to maintain physical and emotional wellbeing, this includes the latest ECU research in this very topical field.
Finally, this weekend we celebrate our newest alumni with graduation ceremonies being held on Saturday and Sunday.

We are very proud of our new graduates and the enormous challenges they have overcome this year to complete their degrees. Many of these graduates were already facing adversity and difficult circumstances before COVID hit. Our new alumni have demonstrated the essence of resilience and should be particularly proud of what they have accomplished.
2020 is an opportunity to take stock of all the things we are grateful for and rejoice at our achievements.
I encourage you all to continue to support each other and embody our ECU community values.
