Young Alumni Network

The Young Alumni Network (YAN) was created especially for ECU young alumni under the age of 35, or those who have graduated with an ECU degree in the past 10 years. We understand that going into the workforce after university can be daunting. The YAN runs a series of social, personal development and professional development events, not only to help educate new professionals, but also to foster a sense of community within new ECU graduates. If you fit within the criteria above, you will automatically receive invitations to YAN events!

Why come along to YAN events?

Attending YAN events allows you to:

  • Explore areas of personal and professional development (often at no cost!);
  • Benefit from the experience and learnings of other young alumni who are experts in their field;
  • Develop your professional network with alumni who are leaders and professionals in their careers;
  • Access a range of opportunities to meet and create long lasting friendships with friends of ECU, staff members and the wider young alumni cohort;
  • Socialise and meet your former ECU colleagues at social events.

To keep up to date with the latest from the YAN, follow the ECU Young Alumni Network LinkedIn page.

Executive Committee

The YAN is governed by an Executive Committee that is staffed with enthusiastic and passionate volunteers who are committed to giving back to their alma mater by running activities, events and workshops that will benefit ECU’s young alumni cohort. They meet regularly and provide the strategic direction of the Network.

She has worked in Sales and Marketing over the past 6 years and is currently working as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Icetana.

Kamaria has joined the ECU YAN Committee with the dual purpose of gaining new skills and creating new connections with ECU Alumni. Additionally, she found the concept of giving back to ECU, where she dedicated six years to her studies, to be particularly appealing.

In Kamaria’s spare time she enjoys photography, hiking, listening to podcasts and reading books, always looking for ways to learn something new.
