If you have young children, childcare services can help you balance your study, work and family life.
Three childcare centres providing long day care currently operate on or near our Joondalup, Mount Lawley and South West campuses catering for children aged from 0-5 years.
Occasional care for children aged 2 months – 6 years is provided for ECU staff and students at the ECU Sport and Fitness Centres in Joondalup and Mt Lawley and Building 4 (behind the Co-op Café) at the ECU South West Campus. A Vacation Care program is also offered to school aged children during the school holidays.
The centres are open to ECU students, staff and the general community. They are licensed services and registered with the relevant regulatory authorities. They provide children with an enriched learning program of fun experiences and according to the Early Years Learning Framework, developed by qualified educators and early childhood teachers. Staff members are not only qualified but are also friendly and supportive.
Please be aware that these services have waiting lists for places and parents should contact them as early as possible to have their child's name added to those lists. Bookings at these services are for regular weekly attendances. Government Childcare Benefit subsidies may be claimed at these services on fees charged.
Occasional care is not offered at the childcare centres. The ECU Sports and Fitness Centres offer occasional care for children (aged 2 months to 6 years) of ECU students and staff working on the Joondalup or Mount Lawley campuses and from Building 4 (behind the Co-Op Café) at ECU South West Campus.
The ECU Sports centres offer school aged children a variety of sports to participate in during the school holidays on both Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses.
ECU provides parenting rooms or multi access rooms on all three campuses.
