Kick off an exciting week as you Connect with the Big Picture at the Research Week launch. This event will focus on links and collaboration opportunities between the University and industry, community and government partners, followed by a networking lunch. Later, Dr Scott Flower discusses the risks involved in research in the presentation Research on the Edge.
Tuesday provides a chance to hear from experts around the country as they discuss Australia’s Northern Seagrasses: Resilience in the Face of Dredging Impacts. The School of Science will host a symposium on Next Generation Intelligent Systems in Computing, Medical & Biological Sciences. Explore your options with the Tour of the School of Engineering World-Class Research Facilities and find out what our researchers are doing behind the scenes.
Dr Anthony Dona from Clarivate will conduct a session on Useful Measures & Metrics for Early Career Researchers, on Wednesday 20 September. Hear about an exciting new area in the School of Business and Law as they talk about Advancing a Research Agenda for Digital Entrepreneurship.
Don’t miss the International Guest Lecture with Professor Baofeng Yang on Thursday 21 September. On the same day, the School of Arts & Humanities will be sharing Research Presentations: Towards a Just, Safe and Better world, followed by a poster and networking session.
The highlight of Research Week, ECU Research in a Nutshell, takes place on Friday evening, with research staff and students sharing their research and competing for prizes. The event brings together three of our most popular research communication competitions: The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®), Five Minute Research Pitch, and One Minute to Pitch It.
Look out for the Medical and Health Research Poster Showcase, (on all week), as well as tours of our research centres, including the Electron Science Research Institute (ESRI) and the Medical & Health Science Labs.
