Connecting remotely to ECU

Virtual private network (VPN) allows you to securely access ECU’s intranet and internal resources from outside the University. When you connect to the ECU network via VPN, it’s as if your computer is locally attached to the University.

How to use VPN

You need to install the VPN software before you can use a VPN. It’s best to do this before you travel.

We recommend you use the ECU Cisco VPN software, which can be installed by following the steps in one of the user guides.

When you’re ready to make a VPN connection, you must first connect to the internet. Run the Cisco VPN software to connect to the ECU VPN.
