Study Abroad Special Programs

Edith Cowan University’s (ECU) vision is to develop global citizens for the benefit of Australia and the world, through teaching and research inspired by engagement and local & international partnerships.

One of the ways we are achieving this is through developing and delivering bespoke study programs for cohorts of visiting international students. These tailored programs provide a variety of opportunities including English Language classes, academic content and social & cultural engagement activities. Programs range from 3 weeks to one semester.

ECU has considerable experience developing programs which reflect students’ academic and cultural inclusivity needs, providing a safe and dynamic learning experience supported by social engagement.

  • We have developed tailored programs for over 30 industry and academic partners from countries including China, Indonesia, India, Japan and the UAE.
  • Our Tokyo City University program will see nearly a thousand Japanese students complete a specialised study abroad program at ECU over 5 years. More information about the Tokyo City University Australia Program can be found here.
  • In 2018, our work in building supportive learning environments for students in Study Abroad programs has been recognised by the Council for International Students of Western Australia, with the award for WA International Education Provider of the Year.
