There are two functional groups within our office:
The Governance Services team is responsible for value-adding secretariat support to Council and Council committees, as well as designated Vice-Chancellor's committees. Governance Services helps ensure the smooth handling of committee business and effective decision-making to enhance University governance arrangements. As necessary, it recommends on changes to the ECU Act, Statutes and Rules. The area also handles FOI and other official information requesters such as from the Ombudsman's Office.
The Records and Archives Management team is responsible for the University's records management governance, administration, management, education, and regulation. Their primary role is to provide an effective framework of management controls, including: the tools and techniques, training and support programs, quality assurance and monitoring, and management analysis and reporting. This ensures that the operating environment is in accordance with best practice principles and industry standards.
