Improving Team Skills to Manage the Deteriorating Patient in ED
The Improving Team Skills to Manage the Deteriorating Patient in ED course (formerly Emergency Medicine Crisis Resource Management EMCRM) is developed specifically for both ED doctors and nurses.
The scenarios are videotaped to allow specific team behaviours to be highlighted in the debriefing sessions that follow each scenario.
Importantly, the course is not a ‘test’ of one’s ability to deal with a given crisis or memorise a particular algorithm. Rather, it is a forum for discussion about strategies that aid in the translation of knowledge of what needs to be done with regards to effective management of the situation.
ED doctors and nurses.
To improve teamwork behaviours in critical incidents by introducing participants to the key points of CRM and allowing them to practice these points in simulated Emergency Department (ED) scenarios.
WA Health employees attending the course will receive a reduced rate of 50% of the course fee.
Please enrol using your WA Health email and state your employee number and hospital where employed.
