"This is the kind of learning environment that pushes people to really think about things!"
I did a lot of research before deciding on ECU. I wanted to make sure that I would be attending a university that fit with my personality, had a stellar reputation, and would give me the best opportunities post-graduation.
I scoured each university’s website, attended open days, and visited student information centres to speak to representatives face-to-face. ECU checked all the boxes for me. In my opinion, it has the best Psychology program in WA.
As a student, you can never really foresee the things that end up making all the difference. The lecturers at ECU are phenomenal. Nobody is too busy to answer a question or set up a meeting to get assignment feedback and it’s just obvious that they care about the things they are teaching. The level of participation and discussion in my classes is amazing – this is the kind of learning environment that pushes people to really think about things!
"ECU has helped me realise the type of youth worker I want to be"
My study experience at ECU has been really enjoyable. The lecturers are extremely helpful, providing me with career advice as well as support within the course.
So far, I've undertaken three work placements, and all have been valuable. Not only have they helped me put theory into practice, they’ve also helped me realise the type of youth worker I want to be.
"I chose Psychological Science because of the flexible course options"
ECU has, in my opinion, the best Psychology related courses. There are no predetermined majors/minors so you can pick from the whole of the Arts and Humanities sector.
My experience at ECU has been great so far. Both the staff and students are open and friendly.
The lecturers are also really helpful and that has especially helped me during assignment periods. Their knowledge in their fields makes the lectures really interesting and I like the fact that they usually incorporate humour or real life experiences and anecdotes into their classes.
