The study experience at ECU has been amazing

Since high school I have always wanted to be involved with the engineering profession. I attended the Open Days of the various universities and was immediately captured by both the staff and facilities at ECU. The manufacturing workshop and motorsports team are world-class and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to study at ECU.

The greatest challenge I undertook while at university was the Technical Director position in the ECU Racing motorsports team. This was incredibly rewarding as the position allowed me to work with and manage a large group of students in completing a large-scale project.

ECU Mechanical Engineering graduate Scott McCormack is now the Lead Cloud Architect at Chironix, a Perth-based company specialising in machine learning, robotics and data engineering.

The transition from working on systems in ECU labs to working on systems at mining and rail sites was seamless and a testament to ECU's high standard of practical experience. By providing an environment where I could safely discuss, challenge and test technical concepts, ECU enabled me to develop a resilient set of technical skills that I have carried through my career.
