Offering a range of popular courses across the disciplines of computing, information science and security science, the school is also home to several research groups including the e-Health Research Group, e-Agriculture Research Group and the Artificial Intelligence and Optimisation Research Group.
The School of Engineering offers a diverse range of accredited engineering courses designed to meet the needs of Australian and Western Australian industries and is also the only tertiary provider in WA to offer Bachelors courses in Aviation. The School enjoys some of the best equipped hardware laboratories in the nation, with multi-million dollar investments into expanding and maintaining its infrastructure on an annual basis. Engagement with industry is a key focus of the School and its programs, and the School also has a number of active research centres focused around a core theme of sustainability research.
Industry practice is a key component of many of our degree programs that span exercise and sports science, occupational therapy and public health. The school has a very active research program supported by world class facilities.
The School of Medical Sciences is home to learning and teaching in human biology, biomedical science, paramedical science and postgraduate medicine. We strive for health improvement through the application of new knowledge and excellence in teaching and research.
The School of Natural Sciences prides itself on being a leader in research and teaching excellence in the areas of biology, brewing, chemistry and environment. With a passion for finding better ways to educate and train students, the school offers degree programs in the areas of psychology, social science and speech pathology. The school has an active research program supported by the Social Justice Research Centre.
