Get ready to set your career in motion with a visit to one of ECU’s three campuses.
Speak to lecturers, explore our labs, or snack at a food truck – there’s something for everyone.
Follow our expert tips to get the most out of your Open Day experience.
Unique among universities, ECU actually has three open days, one for each campus.
The Joondalup event (28 July) showcases ECU’s largest campus while Mount Lawley (11 August) is home to the new $5 million arts hub and the renowned Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
South West (25 August) is your chance to check out the largest regional campus in WA, located in Bunbury.
To plan your day in advance, download a program from the ECU Open Day web page.
If you already know what you want to study, Open Days are a great chance to explore the classrooms and labs for yourself.
But if you still haven’t made up your mind, don’t worry, the always popular Mind Reading Career Finder can help. It measures your brainwaves to predict your future career.
There are many ways to get to an ECU campus, so pick your day, then plan your way. Choose an Open Day location and follow the directions.
How long is a semester? Where’s the best coffee? Can I study online or part-time?
Open Day is your unique chance to get questions like these answered in person. Speak to our lecturers and current students to learn what university is really like. After all, they work and study here, so they know best.
(By the way, the answers are 13 weeks, Grindhouse Café and yes, you can!)
Ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes at WAAPA? Or what makes ECU’s motorsport race car one of the best in the world?
Open Day is your access all areas pass.
But it’s not just about education. Our campuses feature shops, cafes, medical centres and support services like academic assistance and career advisers.
And if the thought of all this is making you tired, we have something for that too. ECU was the first university in Australia to provide sleep pods for students.
The two pods, located in the Joondalup Campus Library, provide a quiet, private place to take a 20 minute power nap before being gently woken.
There’s a lot to take in at our Open Days. That’s why it’s a good idea to bring a friend – or even your whole family.
We don’t want you to miss out, and after all, two pairs of eyes are better than one, right?
After chatting to lecturers and our current students about courses, why not take a load off? Grab something to eat or drink from the Food Truck Zone. There’s also entertainment at the Cultural Zone and competitions and giveaways for all ages at the Activity Zone.
