How to apply

1. Submit your application for admission to ECU

  • You have the option of applying online; or –
    • For online applications please use one of the following course codes:
      • X01 Study Abroad Undergraduate
      • X02 Study Abroad Postgraduate
      • X05 Exchange Studies Undergraduate
      • X06 Exchange Studies Postgraduate

Please note that Education Agents only can apply using our Study Abroad/Exchange Application form. All other applicants will need to apply online.

Whether you apply online or via a paper application, you will need to upload/submit the following documents with your application:

  • Academic documents
  • English proficiency documents; if you are from a country where English is not the official language. We recommend that you view the ECU English entry requirements.
  • If you are applying as an exchange student, you will need to provide a letter of nomination on letterhead from your home institution. To do so, please contact the International office at your home institution.

Exchange application deadlines:

  • 31 October – To start in semester 1 (February-June)
  • 30 April – To start in semester 2 (July-November)

Please note that late applications may be considered.

Study Abroad application deadlines:

  • There is no set closing date for Study Abroad applications, however you are advised to apply in enough time to secure your student visa and student housing, should you wish to live on campus.

2. Wait for a Letter of Offer

If your application is successful, we will email your offer letter either to yourself, your Exchange Coordinator or your ECU representative as applicable.

Please note you may receive a Conditional Offer if you currently do not meet ECU entry requirements or if you have not submitted all required documentation. You may still accept your conditional offer, pay the applicable fees and apply for your visa. However, you should not travel to Perth as you will not be able to enrol at ECU until you have satisfied all the conditions on your offer.

3. Accept your offer

Accepting your offer is a two-step process:

  1. Complete your Online Acceptance
  2. Pay your first semester Tuition Fees and any other charges described in the Letter of Offer

4. Wait for a Letter of Acceptance and Confirmation of Enrolment

Once we receive your acceptance and the fees described in the Offer of Offer, we will issue you a Letter of Acceptance and Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).

Please note that Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) will not issue your student visa until they have received your COE from ECU.
