Congratulations to students from the ECU / WAAPA Postgraduate Diploma Broadcasting course, whose show entitled, Rough Cut will be aired state-wide on Channel 7 on Sunday, 2 January.
Rough Cut is a magazine / current affairs style program written, edited, produced and presented by the class of 2010 with all stories sourced and filmed by students as part of their course.
All students have the chance to be involved in the program, and also have the chance to present or work behind the scenes to create the final program, with the help of tutor and professional editor, Mr Matt Anderson.
This year’s show covers stories from all areas, from serious issues such as the ban on gay men donating blood to light hearted stories such as the biggest steak in Perth and what it takes to be an elite body builder.
Broadcasting Coordinator, Mr Peter Holland is thrilled at the program’s success.
“Rough Cut is a really great mix, with something for everyone and it’s quite a remarkable achievement for students to get their work to air on a commercial station in such a highly competitive industry.”
“We’re very proud of our students and are grateful to Channel 7 for giving them the opportunity to present their work to a state-wide audience,” said Mr Holland.
Rough Cut airs at 12:10 PM on Sunday, January 2 on Channel 7 and GWN.
