ECU South West Research Centre

The ECU South West Research Centre, based at our South West Campus (Bunbury), Western Australia is an integral part of the Faculty of Regional Professional Studies interaction with the broad educational precinct that includes the modern South West Health Campus and South West College of TAFE. Collaboratively the centre services one of the fastest growing regional areas in Australia.

Specialising in interdisciplinary research relevant to regional Australia, especially the south west research activities.

Including working with community bodies, linking with industry, service groups, the professions and education providers, to address issues pertinent to those living and working in the region. Wherever possible, collaborative relationships are formed to undertake research that also enhances equity and social justice.

Areas of research include:

  • Supporting healthy communities
  • Ageing workforce
  • E-commerce
  • Studies of Children and Youth
  • Regional tourism
  • Mental health
  • Regional health services.
