Paul Newhouse Memorial Scholarship

The Paul Newhouse Memorial Scholarship is an annual award to support a postgraduate student enrolled in the School of Education with financial support for their studies in the area of digital technologies. The scholarship offers payments of $2,500 per semester for a total of $5,000. Associate Professor Paul Newhouse was internationally renowned in the world of educational computing, known and celebrated for his work in the area of digital assessment, through the use of information and communications technology. Paul’s aim was to pave the way towards a better future for generations to come and this scholarship helps support a student continue this legacy.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
  • be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Masters by Research within the School of Education at ECU;
  • be conducting research in digital technologies, information technology, design and technology, science and mathematics; and
  • be enrolled full time
  • study on campus
  • not previously have been in receipt of this scholarship
