The Zonta Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

The JMK Scholarship helps women pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management and overcome gender barriers from the classroom to the boardroom.

At a glance

This scholarship is available to women of any age, pursuing a business program at an accredited university who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field and are living or studying in a Zonta district/region, are eligible. Students must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program.

One application provides up to three award opportunities

  1. Area 3 Level: All the Zonta clubs in Western Australia have combined to provide an ‘Area 3’ level of this award valued at $1,500.
  2. District 23 Level: The successful Area 3 application is then forwarded to Zonta International District 23 for consideration of an additional US$2,000 ‘District’ award.
  3. International Level: The successful District 23 application is then forwarded to Zonta International to be considered for an additional US$8,000 ‘International’ award

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be undertaking a business and/or business-related program.
  • Enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master's program at the time the application is submitted to the local Zonta club or district.
  • Applicants must still be attending school at the time the scholarship funds are disbursed to receive this scholarship.
