Tracking Onslow magazine
Tracking Onslow involves ECU journalism students creating regular editions of a magazine documenting the radical changes in the Pilbara town of Onslow in the wake of the giant Chevron Wheatstone Gas Project.
In 2014 editions four and five were published and distributed and in 2015 edition six will be published. The project is distinctive in that it makes visible the effects large scale resource projects have on the communities that host them, driving some members of the community away and attracting others. The project also gives journalism students hands on experience with developing relationships with key community stakeholders and producing a professional-standard media product.
