Hot Glass Workshops

Always loved glass and wanted to give glass art a try?

Get creative in the hot glass studio. Whilst it’s not currently possible to visit Venice, you can still explore the magic of glass-making right here.

Different glass techniques will be explored over this four week course to create your own bespoke glass objects. No prior experience is needed; this course is hands-on with guided instruction.

With a limit of four students, and training by a master glass artist, the course will give you an introduction to the glass studio, its tools and techniques, and an insight into the alluring world of glass creation. Plus you get to take home your own collection of works.

Your glass studio sessions include:

  • developing an informed approach to the creation of design elements and sculptural artworks using glass as the primary medium
  • foundations on how to manipulate hot glass into unique forms
  • an introduction to contemporary glass developments
  • a personal and unique learning experience with a teaching focus on individual student ability and creative concepts
