The WA Screen Academy collaborates each year with real-world clients in their ‘Screen Project: Client-Based’ unit. This includes working with not-for-profit and charity groups, arts organisations and businesses to fulfill a client brief for screen content at a professional level.
Clients that the Screen Academy have collaborated with in recent years include:
Screen Academy students also collaborate with WAAPA Aboriginal Performance and Music Theatre students as well as local artists to create music clips and screen content to showcase their work.
"Working with the students and the whole team at WASA is always an incredibly smooth and professional process through every step of the project’s development. Having been the ‘client’ for 4 years with our Your Call interactive media campaign aimed at a youth market, we’ve had access to a new group of inspired and innovative up and coming film-makers, technicians and writers every year. And every time the teamwork is seamless, the communication, and the level of professionalism is on par if not better than any commercial enterprises. The support throughout from the staff and team at WASA is a joy to work with – they really take the time to understand what we are trying to achieve with the projects. And the quality and originality of the end product speaks for itself…. Can’t recommend them enough"
