Broadcasting

Undergraduate

ECU is the only Australian university to offer a Broadcasting Major. The three-year course prepares students for a variety of jobs in radio, TV and online including reporter, presenter, producer, content maker and media manager. ECU Broadcasting students make programs for Channel 7/GWN and Channel 9. Our course is supported by industry. We now make more radio programs with the launch of Radio ECU, a student radio station in our revamped broadcasting facilities. All ECU Broadcasting tutors are industry professionals.

Postgraduate

ECU’s Graduate Diploma of Broadcasting is Australia’s best broadcasting course Students, from any discipline, gain
the opportunity to learn from industry professionals in an intense, highly vocational setting. Our graduating students have a 90+% employment record. Students produce and crew a regular on-line TV show for the West Coast Eagles Football Club and a one-hour program for Channel 7, a half-hour show for Channel 9, plus they provide content for WAtoday.com.au and GWN7 News. ECU is the only university in Australia with seven paid broadcast industry internships offered on graduation.
