Psychological Services Centre

If a psychological issue is affecting your day-to-day life, we may be able to help.

Edith Cowan University Psychological Services Centre is a state-of-the-art psychology clinic and training centre that provides high quality, accessible and affordable psychological services. Clinical Psychology students, who are Provisionally Registered Psychologists, provide current evidence based psychological services under the direct supervision of experienced and professionally registered Clinical Psychologists.

Our services

Our students and staff provide a professional, confidential and caring service to children, adolescents and adults. We offer individual and group psychological services for a range of issues.

  • Anxiety, depression and emotional issues;
  • Stress management and burnout;
  • Sleep issues;
  • Adjustment to change;
  • Loss, grief and bereavement;
  • Anger management /assertiveness;
  • Psychological management of chronic pain and other health issues; and
  • Parental support for children’s emotional, social and behavioural issues.
  • Emotional difficulties in children and adolescents;
  • Anxiety issues in children and adolescents; and
  • Adolescent issues – relationships, friendships etc.
  • Intellectual and cognitive functioning for children and adults;
  • Children experiencing difficulties with learning at school; and
  • Adults experiencing difficulties engaging in the work force.

Referrals and fees

Clients may self-refer or be referred by medical professionals, health agencies, schools and other government and community services. All children under the age of 18 accessing the service for a cognitive assessment require a written referral (e.g. Paediatrician, School, and Allied Health Professional).

The ECU Psychological Services Centre is an affordable service and fees range from $10 to $30 per session for therapy depending on personal circumstances. The cost for cognitive assessment is $250.00, concession card holders $150.00 Payment plans may be negotiated.

Pregnancy to Parenthood

The Pregnancy to Parenthood Clinic is a free service that provides psychological assessment and intervention for caregivers and their infants, young children and families from pregnancy to two years.

How to get here

Travelling via car: The ECU Health Centre is located at 30 Dundebar Road in Wanneroo, next to the library and close to Wanneroo Central, the local shopping centre. Free parking underneath the ECU Health Centre building.
If you wish to come via public transport bus 389 (via Wanneroo Road to Perth Busport) and 467 (via Carosa Road to Joondalup Station) stop outside the front of the centre.
