'Carmentis' short film continues to win big

Head of Production at the WA Screen Academy, Jaclyn Hewer, continues to kick goals with her award-winning short film, Camentis.

Carmentis, produced by Jaclyn Hewer, and written/directed by sessional Screen Academy tutor Antony Webb has been officially selected for the prestigious 2020 Austin Film Festival.

The film has been recognised and nominated for excellence by the Australian Writers Guild, Screen Sound Guild, Australian Directors Guild, and is currently in consideration for an Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts award for ‘Best short Film’.

Carmentis recently won ‘Best Film’ at the CinefestOz film festival, and has been officially selected to screen at Telluride Horror Film Festival, San Jose International Short film Festival, Tribecca Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, and has recently been nominated for ‘Best short Fiction’ at the 2020 Atom Awards.
